Chillawck weir and fish hatchery

This woman's job is to lift the fish out of the water and dump the fish onto a table to be sorted.

Fish are sorted in this area.

Some are sorted by male and female and put into ponds so their  eggs can be  used for stocking the river.

Others  were harvested  to be sold by the first nation tribes.

Eggs from the fish are put in these trays until they use up their  yolk sacks.

Then they move to these tanks to get a little bigger.

Then live in these outdoor ponds until they are released back into the river.
